Questions to ask before confirmation
Ask the agency about covered risks, exclusions, permitted drivers and incident procedures. An insurance option does not automatically cover every type of damage. The agreed rental contract sets the conditions that apply.
Excess and deposit are separate amounts
An excess is a potential contribution under the claim and contract terms. The deposit is security separate from the rental charge. Ask for its amount, accepted method and refund conditions; the website does not promise every rental without a deposit or excess.
Record the car at pickup and return
Check damage, fuel, mileage and equipment with the agent and have observations recorded in the departure inspection. The return inspection and final settlement help track payments, the remaining balance and the deposit under your agreement.
If an incident occurs
Contact the agency with useful information and photos when it is safe to do so. Keep the requested documents and follow the contract instructions. Tracking an incident in your booking does not automatically mean the insurer accepts a claim.
